Doing Nothing, So It Seems, and I'm Hurting

I was in a parade today.  The thing is I didn’t even have to walk the parade, I got to ride on the back of a car. And yet I’m wiped.

I guess the getting off to the bad start came with the time change because 7:30 on this Sunday morning came an hour quicker than it really should have, and a quick look outside showed “Cold and gloomy.” But a parade was to be attended, my car needed to be decorated, so there we were, lined up with my car in position, and it was time to decorate!  Some green here, some green there, and a constant 20 mile an hour biting wind in the 40 degree weather and my hands were dry as sandpaper, and my body was cold to the core.

Now I’m not griping, okay, maybe I am because a little sun would have been nice, or at least a lot less wind, but this body is not used to being out in the blustery cold, especially not dressed properly, but that is my fault.

The parade went well, and of course a the end of the route the sun came out, but I have to say I was happy to be in a parade, but then the achy came in.  All I wanted to do was get home, curl up in bed, and sleep, but you know, if the world of my weight loss, sometimes a nap is necessary.

I’m feeling a little better as I’m typing this, thanks to a peanut butter and jelly muffin, and a hot shower, but I’m looking forward to a good night’s sleep (hopefully Milo cooperates), to get the new week off to a great start!

This is my weight loss plan… Get your own!
