At Least I Took a Long Walk

So this morning began as I thought it would – sore as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore, or at least I wasn’t going to get out of bed early and hit the exercise bike.  The thing is I didn’t feel that badly about it as the weekend proved to be a domestic exercising plethora of goodness, so a morning of not getting on the exercise bike for the first time could be put off a day, but tomorrow, no excuses!

I also didn’t feel that badly about it because the snow has finally cleared for a spell here in Chicago, and it was warm enough to take Milo, our dog, for an extended walk.  Actually it wasn’t that extended, it was just the normal walk we used to go on, but it felt good to walk around the lake/pond again, around the neighborhood, and see who never shoveled anything for the last month.  My legs felt good, but I could tell they weren’t used to the extended walk, but I didn’t care – I was on a mission to make up a bit for the lack of the exercise bike.

Tomorrow morning will be really interesting as I’m working on a computer project that might burn the midnight oil tonight, so 4:30 AM is going to come up very fast.  I just kind of wish it would snow enough for a snow day because then I could hit the exercise bike at a nicer hour.  Must throw thoughts of getting out of bed right when the alarm goes off in my head.  Must throw thoughts of getting out of bed right away when the alarm goes off in my head.  Must throw thoughts of… well, you get the idea, because good thoughts are always a good thing to keep you exercising, and getting up early.  And…
