My Leg Hurts, Sort Of.

Okay, fine, you got me.  I haven’t been doing my “10 Minute Body Breakthrough” exercises yet.  Fine, I admit it.  It’s not that I haven’t had the time, I mean it’s only ten minutes, and yesterday I was up at 4am and had more than enough breaks in my day to fit the ten minutes, but I just haven’t, yet.  But I have, I’m happy to say, been kicking butt with my DirectLife do-dad, besting my daily goal by 13% yesterday, and as of my typing, today I’ve bested my goal by 22%!  Woo Hoo!!!  The thing is, with it being mostly a pedometer, that means that most of my extra exercising has been using my legs, and let’s just say that if I had a camera on me 24/7, okay, more like 16ish/7, you would have been seeing some crazy things.  There was yesterday when I was doing some  filing that I would pretty much skip from desk to filing cabinet, and then there was today when I was doing this crazy-looking “fast-walking” to my car in parking lot, a car that was parked a lot further away from the door than it would have been last year.

But all of this work with my legs has attributed to some soreness, with my right hamstring bothering me a bit, so this evening I was walking around with this little bit of a limp and my fiance asked me if my gout was acting up (Thank God that’s not it – that’s the last thing I need right now).  As such, I’m thinking tomorrow I might take it easy a little bit, and if I don’t hit my 100% mark I won’t feel horrible.  Sure, I could do some arm exercises, but those don’t get  measured by my DirectLife thingy, and I do wish the website would have a spot to enter other types of exercise, but for now, it doesn’t.

I also realized as I was eating a scone during lunch that I might have to pay attention to my diet a little more.  I banana might have been a better option, especially with the potassium to help my muscles, but hey, that scone tasted is and well,
